Dreads for women : natural creation on a whole head

Lydie contacted me for a creation of natural dreadlocks. She is a tattoo artist in the Nice area. She works with Erwan, her partner. Together, they have created Trip'Ink.

In order to make the locks that Lydie dreamed of, I asked her to come to my workshop in Saint Raphaël (Var) for a pre-visit. Indeed, her project being ambitious, it was important that we exchange together. Thus, I would be able to create exactly the natural dreads she wanted.

Lydie wanted to wear her locks as naturally as possible. She wanted a chic and bohemian creation that reflected her personality. In addition, she wanted to keep her natural colour at the roots and finish with lighter tips.

I advised her to go for a tye-n-dye in polar white. This will create a gradation of colours and tones, thus illuminating the whole of his dreads.

Once Lydie's natural dreadlocks were created, I embellished her locks with crossed threads, beads and dread jewellery. This enhances the dreads and accentuates the chic, bohemian look that Lydie wanted.
