Natural dreadlocks maintenance for black and mixed race boys

Lucas has been wearing natural dreadlocks for a few years that his father made. He takes very regular care of his locks. He came to see me in my hairdressing salon for the maintenance of his natural dreads.

My work in this interview was of several kinds.

• A technical approach :
• I first analysed the structure of each dreadlock. Indeed, I wanted to make sure that each dread was well made at the roots. This is crucial for the strength of a lock. It prevents it from breaking easily. Lucas' dreadlocks were well done. I therefore did not intervene in this area. My action was a simple control.
• Then I tightened each dreadlock one by one with a hook. This will make the dread stronger along its entire length.
• Once all the locks were tight and solidified from end to end, I used an aloe vera and peppermint treatment. This product refreshes the scalp. In addition, when applied to the dreadlocks, it makes them shine.
