Natural dreadlocks and colouring?
Natural dreadlocks and colouring? It is indeed possible to colour your natural dreads. The same goes for extensions
This was a very common solution in the lock world thirty years ago. It allowed locks to be tightened. However, the emergence of the hooking technique has swept away this tradition.
Colouring natural dreadlocks is not easy. It is easy to colour light dreads. Lightening locs, on the other hand, is difficult. It requires a lot of technical skill to get a lighter shade. Not all hairdressers and colourists have it.
I have tried various hairdressers in France for my colour. I was never satisfied with the result.
But in 2015, I met Céline Motta. She is a visagist and colourist by training. She has also worked for many years with some of the best hairdressers in the region. Her technical skills, her know-how and her passion for colour make her a hair artist.
She has since become my regular colourist. So when my clients ask me which colourist to choose, I recommend Céline. She works from home in the town of Saint Raphaël (Var).
