Switching from synthetic to natural dreads

Cyril wore synthetic dreads. He wanted to follow the example ofEmilieHe wanted to switch to natural dreadlocks. He contacted Expert Dreadsthe hairdresser who specialises in natural dreads, to give him the job.

In order to make this transition in optimal conditions, Cyril first made a pre-visit to my workshop. This is how I was able to evaluate the work to be done. Namely: to determine the diameter, the length, the colour, the tones and the number of dreads to be created and placed.

Nevertheless, the first thing that was done was to advise Cyril on how to de-stress his locks. Indeed, he had been wearing synthetic dreads for many months. These were braided directly into his hair.

Going from dreads to synthetic dreads to natural dreadlocks: What is the right choice?

The application of such synthetic dreads is fun, enjoyable and above all temporary. However, I advise you to wear this kind of locks for a month maximum. Indeed, their braiding loosens quickly, especially after each shampoo. If you want to keep synthetic locks for longer, I recommend that you unbraid and re-braid them every month so that they retain their original aesthetic.
