Can we merge dreadlocks?
Stéphane, a physiotherapist, asked me: Can you merge dreadlocks? He wanted to have thicker dreads. Stéphane thought they were too thin. I told him, of course, yes!
Merging locks consists of assembling several dreadlocks to make a single one. The interest of this operation is, thus, to be able to thicken the dreads.
The first step was to validate the thickness Stéphane wanted. Then I checked that the base of the dreads to be fused was compatible with the desired diameter.
I left the locks around his face thin as they were originally. This mix of thin and thick dreadlocks enhances the thickness of the merged dreads. The result is also harmonious.
Stéphane is delighted with the result! He is proud to wear his new dreads born from this fusion. His desire to get thick locs is, therefore, achieved.
